Youth Responses LOGOS Conference West 09
This week has been an interesting one for me. After having been here twice already, I figured it would be almost the same and I would reach that same point with God. However, God had other plans for me. Instead of that closeness being reached through the activities and talks of the week, I felt his presence in the people and in the landscape surrounding me. Each and every person here is at a different point in their walk with God which creates an interesting sense of my faith. When looking around me I know there is a God and how amazing he is. Hannah
I have so much I could say but the spirit overwhelmed me so greatly that my eyes are flooded with happy tears and I can’t see to write! KB
This has been one of the best weeks of my life. I have never felt so close to God in my life and that’s why being here means so much to me. Shannon
This week has been the best week of my life. I have learned so many things. I have broken out of my shell. Being accepted for who I am is the most amazing feeling. Everyone here has shown me that it is okay to be myself. Emily
Each year gets better and better. Every year I grow as a person and become closer to God. I see the difference this conference has on every youth here. I cannot wait to become a leader and help youth who were just like me have a closer relationship with God and grow as individuals. Coming here restores my faith because throughout the year it slips. On Thursday some people from my church decided to climb Flattop Mountain. We pushed ourselves to the top. Something happened to me up there on that mountain that I believe truly changed my life. Standing there on the edge, I looked across God’s amazing world. I felt so small yet so big. I have never felt so close to God in my life. The sense of peace and understanding I got while in this magical place made me get a new perspective on life. I now feel a oneness with the Body of Christ. Thank you, God! Sam
Wow, I can’t even describe what this week has meant to me. I have honestly never felt so close to God. I love being able to just be myself and share my faith and not be judged by it. I love being able to talk to people who really care. Katie
I feel blessed by the people that surround me. I feel more than grateful to be back where I belong. This past year was really rough and only by the power of the Lord was it that I returned home. I thank the Lord for giving me this experience. It’s only with him that I’ll ever go on the right path. Thank you to everyone that made this happen, and that have guided me this far. Alex
This week has meant a lot to me. It just hit me during communion that I am now a Christian and accepted by Jesus. It feels great! Chris
Since this is my last year here as a youth, this year has been the best out of the five I attended. Every year and day I keep getting that much closer to God. I know when I come down the mountain that I will be such a better person and much more relaxed with my religion. Jordan

Adult Responses Conference West 09
I keep trying to fight a relationship with God and I am beginning to see what I have been missing. This has been the most amazing week of my life. I have been able to get closer to God physically and emotionally. The Youth are amazing as exemplified by the Friday Night Testimonials. Jay
This week has helped me realize what’s important in life: serving God and serving youth. It has brought me back from the rat race of everyday life and allowed me to slow down and re-establish my connection to God. Bob
One of the most significant spiritual experiences I have is coming to the LOGOS Conference as an adult youth leader. It is amazing to see and help so many of the youth who feel unaccepted at home and even in their churches share in the love of Christ. Jim

I have greatly appreciated the way that this time in the Rockies has knit my youth group close together and increased their love and care for one another. This trip accomplished for our group what it would take me a year’s worth of group-building activities to achieve. Sandra
This time on the mountain affirms my participation in the LOGOS Ministry. The faithful response of young people and adults to the word of God makes all the work worthwhile….why wouldn’t I come to the mountains each year? What a blessing!

This conference has been a special experience for me because even as an adult, it has taught me to be comfortable in the skin God has placed me in and though all of us are not in the same place in this journey of faith, God always is and we are ALL dearly loved children of God. Abby

After 15 years working with our local LOGOS program it was finally time for me to come to the mountain with our youth. I have been blessed to watch our young people share their faith, their talent, their energy, and their enthusiasm with others. Cathy
This week I was asked by one of my Bible kids, “Do you really believe this?” His faith was gone due to losing 7 family members. Our conversations led him back to the faith-a slight hold, but better than when he arrived. I am the lowest Bible leader, but felt on top of the world. Thanks for letting me be a part of changing at least one life. Rich
It’s not about me, but what I can do for others where ever I am. I can set aside my own fears and be there for those who need me. Mandy
This year God has pushed me way out of my comfort zone here at LOGOS conference in many ways. It has been very evident that God was walking with me and holding me up in all those places and situations. I am excited to see where and how he’ll use me after I return home. Lynn

Last year wore me out and I was not going to return this year, but this place just pulls you back. It is so amazing to watch the youth make new friends and not judge each other. I enjoy helping with bible Study and watching the youth grow in their faith. Kim
Well, here I am another year and I am so glad to be here. I am, as always, renewed and refreshed by the mountain, but this year I so enjoyed the harvest effect of years of work. I rejoice in what has been done in this place and see and hear in the lives of all who are here. Thank you, God, for bringing me here, for giving me a ministry here and for always helping me grow.

Being here has made me realize that those so-called giants aren’t anything big when my heart is given to God. He will help me past those hurdles, get over them in a clean sweep. It’s an awesome feeling knowing that someone is ALWAYS on your side. It will be incredibly hard to leave people who you will never forget. This place opened my eyes to the Lord and all his mighty and glorious powers. Next year seems like a lifetime away. May God change your life and heal your pain and be there for you when it seems like nobody else is there for you. This is one amazing place. This place is such a great experience. I’ve seen it change my heart and the hearts of many of my friends. I’ve seen it turn an atheist into a die hard Christian. What other place can accomplish such a task? Praise God! Ryan M.
I have made many friends here this year and one of the things we talked about in our Bible Study was friendship. Without friends what would you have? God is our friend. He watches over us and keeps us safe. God is true to everyone and we are his children and he loves all of us. Jordan S.
This week God has shown me the light he provides for each one of us. Through the action of friends I have met and leaders, I have seen the glory of God to its full extent. There is no better way to see God’s love than when 200 people can come, eat, sleep and worship together. The mountains around me only help to exemplify God’s wonder. Dear God,
This is my fourth year attending this holy conference and it was my best year yet. Getting to help out with all of the first year kids while still participating as a youth meant more to me than the magnificent first year experience that I had. Seeing all the joy and wonder in their faces proved that God was truly in this place. Joey R.
