The Word of God is always ready for you.

Each Sunday’s worship service is broadcast live on Facebook and YouTube. Whenever you miss a service, or need a message of hope during the week, past services are available for you to watch—or to share with friends and family. You can select a specific sermon by expanding the playlist menu (three horizontal bars with a triangle). Sermons are sorted chronologically by date (most recent to oldest).

Audio CD Recordings—If you (or someone else in the Crawfordsville area) are not able to access our video recordings online, you may request an audio CD by contacting the church office. CDs are usually delivered Sunday afternoon or on Monday.

Adult Education Opportunities

Membership Classes
What does it mean to be a Christian? Why is baptism so important? Should I join First Christian Church? These questions and more are addressed in our membership classes. Both pastors offer this course at different times throughout the year.

Bible Study and Specialty Faith Formation Classes
Throughout the year, both pastors and lay leaders offer Bible studies and special faith formation classes. These classes are chosen based on people’s passions related to faith. Classes have included, but are not limited to:

  • Spiritual Writing

  • Biblical Interpretation

  • How we formulate our beliefs

If you are interested in any of these education opportunities, or have ideas and suggestions, contact us at 211fccville@gmail.com.

The Wired Word
The Wired Word holds the newspaper in one hand and the Bible in the other, helping participants use their faith to think about how tour responses to current events are or could be informed by our faith and scripture. Join us on Sunday mornings in the parlor at 9:15 to participate in this relaxed, respectful environment. We conclude in time for worship. Childcare available.

Pub Theology
In partnership with St. John’s Episcopal Church, Pub Theology is monthly gathering at a local brewery where anyone in the community (regardless of one’s religious background and affiliation) can sit around a table and talk about different issues of faith, philosophy, ethics, and ideas over a beverage (alcohol is not required!). The purpose of pub theology is to create a safe space, where people can be open and honest about topics of faith, ask any questions, and at the end of the night, know that it’s perfectly fine if we disagree with one another. Reach out to Pastor Kevin if interested about learning more.

Bible for the People Podcast
In our weekly podcast, host Chuck Ranspach asks Pastors Kevin and Darla engaging questions about the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. New podcast episodes are released Fridays on Facebook, iTunes, Spotify, and Google, or you may listen online with LibSyn. Click here to learn more.
